Went to school a little early today to check my mail. I got some from Japan! Yay! Afterwards, on my way home from school, I met the Korean girls at Francos Rodriguez. We talked in Spanish all the way home. It was good for learning, but I've realized that speaking Spanish that much uses a lot of energy...

OK.. what did I do today..? Oh, I changed some traveler's checks into cash. It feels like you're earning a lot of money when you change dollars into pesetas, because $200 is like, 36500pts. or something...

I went to the dentista today!! I never imagined that I would have to go in Spain.. but there are time when you need to, right? It's not like I had a cavity or anything, but.. The dentist at Quevedo, was a really nice guy though. He spoke English, of course. (or I wouldn't go there!!) After the dentist, I went to Atocha Renfe again, bought some post cards to send to my friends, and walked home as usual through the park.

OK, the days are starting to go by faster now... I mean, the first week I was here, it was SO slow!! I guess it means that I'm having a good time now. That's good. Oh, Nils invited our class to his house tomorrow, for the cumpleaños of Robert, his friend. Oooh! First party for me in Madrid! We did a moment of silence today at 12pm for a guy who was murdered by a car bomb by terrorists. I talked to Culum today. I hadn't seen him for the longest time! Ever since Intermedio A was divided, I think. I took a siesta, probably for the first time in Spain.. but I don't know if I should call it a siesta, since I slept for like 3 hours..

It's Friday!! TGIF! I took a siesta today, again. I woke up by a phone call from Asuka! She's going to come to Madrid on Sunday. I'm so excited!! I can't wait to see her. The party for Robert is going to be at 9pm today. I'll be there!

OK, I went to the party last night. I met so many people!! It was a lot of fun. (^-^) But it was also one of the craziest parties I've ever been to. Probably the most in my entire life, since I was in the dormitory during high school. Around the end of the party, I mostly hung out with the people who weren't like, totally going overboard, or at least who I thought weren't..(you weren't, right Nils?) But it was a good oppourtunity for me to make new friends, since I didn't know that many people in Spain yet. I got home around 6:30am. I took the first metro home, since I can't trust the taxis in Madrid yet.. I got ripped off the first day, and payed 7000pts. from the aeropuerto!

I stayed home most of the day today.. I was pretty tired from last night. (But don't worry! It's not because of what happened at the last part of the party!!) It feels like a Sunday today.. There was a soccer game with Real Madrid vs. F.C. Barcelona today!! Madrid won, 3-0. The first goal was by Roberto Carlos, my man!! (He's my favorite.) Asuka's coming tomorrow!! Can't wait to see her!

I went to pick up Asuka at Conde de Casal today. There's a bus terminal there. I kind of got lost after I got off the metro station, but no pase nada. There was another person with her, Gen-san. He had to come to Madrid today too. We went to my house, dropped off Asuka's stuff, and then went out to eat lunch. Went through the Retiro park, and got to Atocha. Gen-san parted with us there, because he had to go to the airport. I took Asuka to see the jungle in Atocha.. (I don't know why, it was close to where we were!) Afterwards, we went to Sol and walked around a little. The best part about having Asuka over was that we could talk forever, about everything, and in any language we want(I mean, in the ones we can , of course). I can't do that with anyone else I know here in Spain. We talked until 4 o'clock in the morning, about everything. From us being in Spain, to our "prospects" (well actually, mine) in Japan and in Spain. It was loads of fun!!! Thanx for coming Asuka!!

I woke up early today w/ Asuka, because she had to go to the airport. She took the taxi infront of my house, and she went back to Japan... que triste.. I wish she could've stayed longer. I went to check mail, and I had one, but it was not a very cheerful mail. Hmmm.. I was with Sarah, Nils, Robert, and Per on the metro back home. I parted with Nils and Robert at Avda. America. While I was writing my "other journal" (the more personal one..) on my bed after the comida, I fell asleep without putting anything over me, and when I w oke up, it was already around 8pm. Oops! I hope I don't catch a cold or anythin g..

Today's the 29th of February! This day only comes once in 4 years. Kind of special! Tonight, the people from Intermedio A2 are going to go out together! What fun! I went home, ate comida, and then fell asleep again, on the bed without putting anything over me.. this is becoming a bad habit! I called Japan today, and used up the whole TEL card of 2000pts. It was so scary, seeing the meter run out like crazy. The last few minutes, I was like, "200pts. left! Aaah! 150!"

So we went... and where did we go? We went to a bar called Chesterfield, at I think, Arguelles. Oh, while we were waiting for people to arrive at Sol(at the bear), we met a Swedish guy, Jasper. He was supposedly waiting for his friend to come, to go see a soccer game at a bar. Well, anyways, when we got to Chesterfield, there was Karim, and a whole other bunch of people.(All speaking in English.) There were lots from the party of Robert's. I saw Susan, one of the girls I met at that party and we talked a little bit. Nils and I stayed 'til like, 1am. Jon and Yasmine stayed, and Nils came to the Metro station with me. Thanx Nils!! Today was lots of fun as well!

It's March!! Do I feel spring coming!? But I'm going to be leaving Spain soon.. That's sort of depressing... Tonight, we're going to have a going away party for Misuk! We're going to go see "La Playa" with Leo!

The movie was OK. Kind of weird, but I liked the concept of the movie. Afterwards, we went to a bar near "Bar Gran Via" (That's where we tried to go first, but it was too crowded.) That bar closed at 11pm, so we had to leave. There, some people left. Marlon, Yasmine, and Reiko left. The people who were left, was Annette, Robert, Sofia, Nils, Misuk, and me. Oh, and Jon came later. We tried going to Bar Gran Via again, but it was still packed.. so we went into one that wasn't too crowded. I got home around 1am. I'm so tired!

We had first period today, and it was pretty hard getting up.. I took a siesta again today. (for about 3 hours again.) I went to the dentista for the second time. I'm all done now! My teeth are todos bien ahora! Pretty expensive but.. oh well. It's not something I had other choices for.

It's Friday again! I had a good day today. A really good day.. Oh, afterschool, I went to the tapestry factory. I never knew that it was at my station! Nebrija had an excursion to it today, so I joined in with Jon and Annette on my way home. It was pretty amazing, seeing how all the tapestries were made by hand. The guide was in Spanish, and I couldn't understand most of what she was saying, but the tapestries said enough!

I went to the post office today. I heard that there's a really big one at Banco de España, so I went there. It was huge!! There was like, a whole building for sending regular mails, to airmail, seamail.. I sent some books that I brought to Spain back to Japan, because I wouldn't be able to fit them into my suitcase by the end of my stay here.

I went to the Rastro today. It's like, a flea market. There were so many people!! I bought a little purse for 200pts, but nada mas. I didn't have much money with me to start with anyways. I went to the Reina Sofia again. There was an exhibition on the 3rd floor last time I came here, but it was gone today.. After I ate comida, I went to the park, and just relaxed the whole afternoon.
